Questa stazione installata presso il Parco-Museo dell'Ingenio a Busca dispone di un sistema avanzato, alimentato a energia solare ed è utile per il monitoraggio atmosferico, per lo studio del microclima locale e per l'indagine sull’inquinamento da polveri sottili.
Datameteo Educational si è occupata della scelta di una stazione meteorologica di ultima generazione che non necessita di alimentazione elettrica, essendo alimentata con un pannello solare, con un protocollo di trasmissione dari con tecnologia radio lorawan che non necessita di connessione ad internet per l’invio dei dati meteorologici.
Gli stessi sono liberamente disponibili, con misure di precisione, per la direzione e l’intensità del vento, la temperatura dell’aria, l’umidità relativa, la bagnatura fogliare e l’ammontare delle precipitazioni: dati molto utili per il monitoraggio meteo-climatico in ambiente urbano e rurale per programmare i voli in mongolfiera supportare il settore agro e valorizzare le attrattive turistiche ed outdoor della zona.
Il pluviometro non è dotato di sistema di riscaldamento quindi in caso di nevicate il corrispondente apporto pluviometrico segnalato potrebbe essere nullo o ridotto rispetto al periodo e quantità di neve al suolo dell'evento
